Privacy policy

Effective 1 November 2026

The short version: your run data is used to run the app. We do not sell it. You can use R·ALLY without an account, or sign in with Google or Apple to sync your profile and run history. You can turn off product analytics. You choose whether R·ALLY can use location, motion, Apple Health or Strava.

1. Who this covers

This policy explains how R·ALLY handles information in the R·ALLY app and on runwithrally.app. R·ALLY is developed and provided by Aagen Tech Private Limited. In this policy, “R·ALLY”, “we”, “us” and “our” mean Aagen Tech Private Limited.

2. What we collect

Run and device data

When you start a run, the app may use your location, route, speed, pace, distance, elevation, motion and cadence. Precise GPS route points stay on your phone for maps and export. If you allow it, the app may also use heart rate and active energy from a compatible device or Apple Health.

Details you add

You may add a name, age, weight, runner level, coach choice and run goal. An account is optional. If you sign in with Google or Apple, we store your profile and run history under your Firebase account so it can sync across your devices. Synced profile fields can include name, age, weight, coach and settings, plus the email or provider identity Apple or Google share with the app. Synced run history includes distance, time, pace, elevation, coach moments, personal bests and similar stats — not the precise GPS track.

App analytics

We use Mixpanel to understand whether the app works. While analytics is on, events can include a random install ID, or — when you are signed in — your account ID so the same person is not counted twice across devices. Analytics can also include app version, general settings, completed runs and actions such as pausing, sharing or connecting Strava. We do not send your precise route, name or Apple Health records to Mixpanel. You can turn analytics off in Corner at any time.

Coach voice and run report

R·ALLY may send a short coach line to a voice provider so it can create audio. It may send basic run facts, such as distance, time and number of rallies, to a text provider to create your run report. We do not need to send your precise route or Apple Health records for this.

Website data

The website may receive basic server logs such as IP address, browser type and request time. The current site does not use advertising cookies.

3. Why we use it

4. Your choices

You control Location, Motion & Fitness, Bluetooth and Health permissions in your device settings. You can disconnect Strava in R·ALLY. You can use core parts of the app without connecting Apple Health or Strava, although location and motion are needed to measure an outdoor run.

You can turn product analytics off in Corner → Data. Signing out can keep or remove the local copy on that phone. Deleting your profile removes the cloud account and synced data; the copy on the phone stays until you remove it or delete the app. Apple Health and Strava keep data already saved to them under their own settings and policies.

5. When data leaves your device

Most run processing happens on your device. We may share only what is needed with service providers that help deliver the app:

These companies process data under their own terms and may process it in other countries, including the United States. We do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioural advertising.

6. How long we keep it

Run history and settings stored on your device stay there until you delete them or the app. Cloud profile and synced runs stay until you delete the profile or ask us to erase them. Analytics is kept only as long as reasonably needed to understand and improve the app. Service providers may keep information for the periods in their own policies or as required by law.

7. Safety and security

We use reasonable technical and organisational safeguards, including account-scoped cloud access rules and keeping sensitive tokens out of ordinary app storage where practical. No system is completely secure, so we cannot promise that loss or unauthorised access will never happen.

8. Children

R·ALLY is not directed to children under 13. If local law requires a higher age for consent, a parent or guardian must approve the use of the app. Contact us if you believe a child gave us personal information without proper consent.

9. Your privacy rights

Depending on where you live, you may ask to access, correct, delete or receive a copy of personal information, or object to certain uses.

United States

Residents of states with privacy laws, including California, may have rights to know, delete, correct or limit certain use of personal information. We do not sell personal information or share it for targeted advertising. We will not treat you differently for using a privacy right.

India

Under India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, where applicable, you may ask for information about processing, correction, completion, updating or erasure, and may raise a grievance. You may also nominate another person to exercise rights as allowed by law.

10. Changes

We may update this policy as the app changes. We will update the date above and give notice in the app when a change is important.
